Frequently Asked Questions

There are many questions regarding medical marijuana, medical evaluations, and the law. We have assembled some answers to the most frequently asked questions. We hope these answers will be helpful. Please feel free to contact us if you have more questions.

1. Do I need a doctor’s recommendation?
Yes. You cannot obtain medical marijuana in California without a valid, current recommendation from a medical doctor or a specialist licensed in California.

2. How do I get a recommendation?
We can direct you to a general list from California NORML.

3. Must I show my prescription every time you make a delivery?
You must have your original recommendation letter and a valid California ID. After we have registered you, we still need you need to have your CA valid state ID and your recommendation with you for legal purposes. If there are any questions, the letter of recommendation will be verified through the recommending doctor and not through us.

4. What is the minimum amount of medical marijuana that I can receive? And what is the maximum?
The minimum amount of medical marijuana that we offer is 1 gram and the maximum amount you are allowed to acquire is based on your local ordinances.

5. How much medical marijuana may I carry on me legally at one time?
The “quantity possessed by the patient or the primary caregiver, and the form and manner in which it is possessed, should be reasonably related to the patient’s current medical needs,” including transportation.  The most important thing to remember is always obey local county laws.

6. How many marijuana plants may I grow legally at one time?
It varies in different parts of the state. Check local laws to ensure you are compliant.

7. I am a caregiver for others, what is your policy regarding caregivers?
A caregiver may purchase medicine on behalf of another patient. An original recommendation for both caregiver and patient must be produced along with both valid ID, upon initial sign up. After initial visit, the caregiver must present valid ID for himself and patient each visit.

8. Do you give discounts to patients with special needs?
We do not currently offer any special discounts beyond our already low-priced menu… all of our patients enjoy the same great prices and service!”

9. Do you offer special services for patients with special needs?
Yes. We can offer services such as: delivery with a minimum purchase, handicap access, telephone orders, internet orders and care packages. Please call for information regarding or services for patients with special needs.

10. Must I appear in person to buy medicine or can I send a representative for myself?
You must appear in person with your letter of recommendation the first time you register. If you are a caregiver for another patient, please refer to FAQ 7 above.

11. Am I allowed to give or sell the product I buy from you to anyone else?
NO! However, caregivers may provide product to another patient with a valid letter recommendation. See FAQ 7 above.

12. Will insurance pay for my evaluation or my medicine?
No. Unfortunately at this time insurance does not cover medical marijuana evaluations or medical marijuana and product. Although, we do offer discount to patients with special needs.

13. Is possession in California legal under Federal law?
No. Possession, cultivation and use of marijuana, even for medical purposes, and even with a doctor’s recommendation, are still illegal under Federal law. The state of California however supports the use of medical marijuana.

14. Do you submit my records to any government agency?
No, we do not submit patient’s medical records to any government agency. It is stored at an off site location and electronically secured.

15. What forms of donations can I make?
We currently accept cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. Credit Cards can be used on our portable, electronic wireless machine.

16. Is there Tax & Delivery Charges?
Tax has been calculated into the donation, and delivery is FREE!

17. Can my service be altered or terminated?
Yes, the abuse of our service, damage to Town & Country Equipment, disrespectful treatment to staff or members, violation of any policies will not be tolerated.  We refuse the right to service to anybody at anytime.
